Arrive in Kigali and enjoy a half-day city tour visiting the Genocide Memorial and the iconic Hotel des Mille Collines. Transfer to Volcanoes National Park — a haven for the rare mountain gorilla — and spend the night near the Virunga Mountains. Day 3 is the centrepiece: gorilla trekking through dense rainforest, followed by an afternoon at the Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village for an immersive Rwandan community experience. On your final morning, track the endangered golden monkey before heading back to Kigali for your departure flight. From US$1,736 pp (3-star, 2 pax).

Arrive at Kigali International Airport and be warmly welcomed by your driver/guide. Enjoy a comfortable 20-minute drive to your hotel in Kigali for dinner and overnight.

Kigali City Tour — Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Full Board

Breakfast, then a half-day Kigali city tour: the Belgium Museum honouring fallen UN peacekeepers, the poignant Kigali Genocide Memorial, and the iconic Hotel des Mille Collines for lunch. Transfer to Volcanoes National Park (2.5 hours). Upon arrival, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus — a conservation hub uniting scientists, tourists, and local communities around gorilla protection.

Rise early for a pre-trek coffee and briefing at park headquarters.
