Amboseli National Park

Amboseli National Park is the land of giants — both the towering elephants that roam its dusty plains and the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro that looms over them. The classic postcard shot of elephants silhouetted against Africa's highest peak is captured here, and nowhere else delivers it so reliably. Amboseli is famous for having some of the oldest and largest tusker elephants in the world, many studied for decades by researchers. The park's swamps, fed by underground springs from Kilimanjaro's melting snows, create lush oases that attract hippos, buffalo herds, and over 400 bird species. The park is compact and accessible, making it ideal for combining with Masai Mara or as a gateway before crossing into Tanzania for the Serengeti circuit.
