Overview

This cross-border safari starts in Nairobi with a rest day (optional Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Centre visits). Head to Lake Naivasha for scenic Rift Valley views and a boat ride. Then two nights in the Maasai Mara — the world-famous home of the wildebeest migration. Cross the Tanzania border to Speke Bay on Lake Victoria, then push on to the Serengeti for two full game drive days. Conclude with a dramatic descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha (approx. 83 km, 1¾ hours) with stunning views of Mt Longonot and the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Naivasha Resort for check-in and lunch. Enjoy an afternoon boat ride on the lake, a visit to Crescent Island, and birdwatching along the freshwater shores.

Full Board

Early breakfast, then head to the Maasai Mara (approx. 207 km, 4 hours). Arrive for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge. Enjoy a riveting afternoon game drive with your expert guide — spot the Great Migration herds, cheetahs, hippos, and giraffe in their natural habitat.

Maasai Mara — Border Crossing to Speke Bay, Tanzania

Early breakfast and check-out. Drive through the Mara with game viewing en route, then cross the Kenya–Tanzania border at Isebania (approx. 4½ hours). Your Tanzanian driver/guide meets you for the onward transfer to Speke Bay Lodge on Lake Victoria (approx. 2h20). Check in and relax by the lake.

Early breakfast and check-out. Drive to the Serengeti (approx. 3 hours) — Africa's most famous national park, home to the world's largest animal migration. Arrive for check-in and lunch. Enjoy game viewing en route and settle in for the evening.

Full Board

Full day with packed lunch across the Serengeti's magnificent plains. Track the famous radio-collared lion prides, witness wildebeest and zebra herds stretching to the horizon, and spot Thompson's gazelle, impala, and klipspringer. Views truly impossible to forget.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Full Board

After breakfast and check-out, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approx. 157 km, 3¼ hours) through rolling hills, forests, and coffee plantations. Descend into the ancient crater for a game drive on its floor — the Big Five, flamingos, and an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Ascend for dinner.
